Julia VanderVeen is a formerly NYC-based, award winning actor and clown, who has performed across Europe and the US. Julia has trained extensively in Clown and Bouffon, and apprenticed under head of physical theatre at Yale University, Christopher Bayes. Her first solo show, My Grandmother's Eyepatch, received rave ***** reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and was featured in the NY Times. Currently Julia is developing an all female Bouffon show entitled Cookies about the January 6th insurrection, directed by Spymonkey’s Aitor Basauri, and a new solo show entitled DENTATA about female ferocity and pleasure. Julia enjoys donuts and spending time with animals, and she and her partner just immigrated to Amsterdam.
